On Tuesday night, Lady Gaga posted on her Twitter account the first look at her role in the sequel to "Joker," which marked the dark end of Valentine's Day.

The picture in "Joker: In "Folie à Deux," Gaga's character and Joaquin Phoenix's Joker are shown embracing.

Phillips produced Gaga's lead role in "A Star Is Born," for which she collaborated with Phillips. The sequel to Warner Bros.

 "Joker" is currently in production in New York and Los Angeles and will be released on October 4, 2024.

The singer/actress's role hasn't been officially announced. However, a teaser that was released in the summer hinted that she might play Harley Quinn, a character that Margot Robbie most recently portrayed in a number of DC films.

Along with Zazie Beetz, who returns from the 2019 film, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, and Zazie Beetz have also joined the sequel to "Joker."

The original "Joker" by Phillips followed Phoenix's troubled aspiring comic Arthur Fleck as he transformed into the well-known DC antagonist.

The R-rated film "Joker" became the highest-grossing R-rated film in history with worldwide box office receipts of more than $1 billion.

The critically acclaimed film received 11 Oscar nominations and won two awards, including best actor for Phoenix and best original score for Hildur Gunadóttir.
